The Kakinada District Ad-hoc Committee successfully organized the Kakinada District Under-13 Chess Championship Selections on July 6, 2025,<\/strong> at the International Delhi Public School (IDPS) in Panasapadu. Over 80 young chess enthusiasts participated, showcasing their skills and competitive spirit in a vibrant display of talent.<\/p>\n

The tournament was graciously hosted by IDPS<\/strong>, with the school\u2019s Chairman, Shri M. Swamy Surya Kumar Garu, and Directors, Shri V. N. J. M. Roshit and Shri V. Ramesh,<\/strong> extending their full support to ensure the event\u2019s success. The IDPS campus provided an ideal setting, fostering an atmosphere of learning and sportsmanship for this prestigious competition.<\/p>\n

The event was expertly supervised by Mr. K. Jagadesh Kumar Garu, General Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Chess Association and Kakinada District In-Charge,<\/strong> whose leadership ensured flawless arrangements. The IDPS team, including Smt. Prathima, Shri Gaurav, Shri Rajesh (School In-Charge), and Smt. Phani Kumari (PET and Chess Trainer), played a crucial role in organizing the tournament, ensuring it ran smoothly and on schedule.<\/p>\n

Tournament Highlights:<\/strong>
\nThe selection tournament was officiated by Chief Arbiter Mr. Kiran Kumar Paluri<\/strong>, who announced the winners selected to represent Kakinada District in the upcoming Under-13 Open and Girls Chess Championships. The selected players are:<\/p>\n

Open Category:
\n1. Vakada sriram jayin<\/strong>
\n2. Dhanvin ram chintapatla<\/strong><\/p>\n

*Girls Category:
\n1. Sai Saranya Kolluri<\/strong>
\n2. Sohana Lahari<\/strong><\/p>\n

These Four talented players will proudly represent Kakinada District at the state-level championship.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest MS. Kuldeep Kaur Sekhon<\/strong>, who lauded the dedication and skill of the participants. She presented prizes to the winners, encouraging them to continue honing their chess prowess.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Krishnaveni, Coordinator of the Kakinada District Ad-hoc Committee, expressed her joy at the enthusiastic participation of approximately 45 players. She praised the young talents for their competitive spirit, which made the tournament a resounding success.<\/p>\n

The Kakinada District Under-13 Chess Championship Selections<\/strong> highlighted the district\u2019s emerging chess talent and underscored the importance of such events in nurturing young minds and promoting chess as a sport. The Ad-hoc Committee and IDPS Panasapadu deserve heartfelt appreciation for their efforts in organizing this inspiring event.<\/p>\n
