##Vkcnews: On Saturday, April 4, 2025, Eluru District Ad-hoc chess committee proudly conducted the Under-7 Chess Championship as part of the Eluru District Level Chess Championship 2025. The tournament, held under the supervision of the Eluru District Ad-Hoc Committee, concluded successfully with an impressive display of young talent.
### Tournament Highlights
The event saw enthusiastic participation in both the Open and Girls categories. In the **Open Category**, Poshnav Sai Ayaan Kanakam from Eluru, emerged victorious, securing 1st place with an outstanding score of 3 points. Sathvik from Eluru, Calumaril followed closely, earning 2nd place with 2 points. In the **Girls Category**, Deekshitha from Jangareddygudem clinched 1st place with a perfect score of 3 points, while Ishitha from Jangareddygudem took 2nd place with 1.5 points.
### Inauguration and Leadership
The tournament was inaugurated with an exciting ceremonial first move—E4 followed by E5—played by Eluru District Ad-Hoc Committee President Mr. Vasudeva Rao, renowned international chess player Mr. Laxman Rao, and Sri Saraswathi vidyaniketan English medium School thangallamudi Eluru, Principal Mr. Uday Kumar Y.
