Sathupally, December 08th and 09th, 2023: The sports team from SAI SPURTHI DAV School, Gangaram, Sathupally, has showcased outstanding performance in recent competitions, bringing laurels to their school and community.
The talented players, K. Gnana, SK. Armaan, B. Greeshma Vardhan, G. Sri Harsha, and L. Sushrith, have demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout their journey.
In the District Clusters competition on December 08 and 09th, held at DAV Model School, KTPS, Palvancha, the team from SAI SPURTHI DAV School emerged victorious, clinching the 1st place among seven other DAV teams. Their remarkable performance in the district-level event earned them the opportunity to represent their cluster at the State Level competition held at DAV Public School, Safilguda, Hyderabad.
The journey to the state level was filled with dedication and hard work as the players underwent rigorous training for three days to prepare for the higher stakes. In Hyderabad, they faced formidable opponents but remained undeterred in their pursuit of excellence.
In the cluster-wise chess game, the team from SAI SPURTHI DAV School secured the 3rd place, narrowly missing out on the top spot by a mere half-mark difference. Despite the tough competition, they showcased their individual prowess in subsequent rounds.
The individual performances of the players at the State Level competition were nothing short of commendable. K. Gnana secured the 7th rank out of 68 players, followed closely by SK. Armaan at the 11th position, L. Sushrith at the 12th position, B. Greeshma Vardhan at the 13th position, and G. Sri Harsha at the 18th position.
