The Guntur District Chess Committee successfully conducted the Guntur District Under-13 Chess Championship Selections. on July 28, 2025, at Greenland English Medium School. The event drew over 70 young chess enthusiasts who showcased their skills and competitive spirit.
Under the meticulous supervision of Mr. Abdul Nabi, Event organiser of the Guntur Chess Association, the tournament was seamlessly organized, adhering to a well-structured schedule. His leadership ensured a smooth and successful event.
Tournament Highlights
The selection process was officiated by Chief Arbiter Mr. Kiran Kumar Paluri, who announced the players selected to represent Guntur District at the upcoming Under-13 Open and Girls State-Level Chess Championships. The selected players are:

1. AFM Aylore Hari Suryanarayana
2. Dinesh Reddy Konda
**Girls Category:**
1. Kavya A N S S
2. Mary Akshaya Choudam
A total of 70 players were chosen to proudly represent Guntur District at the state-level championship.
The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Ravindranath, Guntur District President, who congratulated the participants for their dedication and talent. She presented prizes to the winners, motivating them to continue excelling in chess.
This championship not only highlighted Guntur’s rising chess talent but also emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing young minds and promoting chess as a sport. The Guntur Chess Committee and Greenland English Medium School deserve commendation for their outstanding efforts in organizing this inspiring event.
